Can you believe we're on the home stretch of 2022? I surely can't, but here we are. While prepping for the holidays and wrapping up all things work and home-life related, here are a few tips on finishing the year on a positive note.

Declutter and Clean
A few years ago, I cleaned and decluttered my house all day on New Year’s Eve. It felt AMAZING knowing that I would be starting the New Year fresh with a clean house. I went to my New Year’s celebration feeling rejuvenated, with a deeper sense of optimism than usual.

Just don’t clean out someone else’s house, load up your car and drive off. Apparently, some people don’t appreciate the help :P

Create An 'End Of The Year' Punchlist

No, this is not a list of people you want to punch by January 1st. The logistics of completing that list would drive you crazy.

The items on this list don’t have to be work related. As a matter of fact, they could all be related to your personal life. It’s all about tying up loose ends and not walking into the new year with a long to-do list. Even though you only accomplish part of the list, you’ll still feel great that you made an effort.

Reconnecting With Old Friends

If you’re going to your hometown for the holidays, this may be the perfect excuse if you need a break from your family. And sometimes it’s nice to rekindle an old friendship.

This is especially a good idea if your friend still owes you money they borrowed years ago. Just make sure to bring it up casually during your hangout and adjust for inflation. :P

If reconnecting with an old friend isn't an option, you can always open up an old photo album and reminisce. :)

I hope you have a WONDERFUL Holiday Season and an AWESOME New Year!
